The C-390 Millennium, the most modern new generation tactical military transport aircraft, has just reached 10 thousand flight hours with the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). This significant milestone was achieved in just four years after the first C-390 with FAB colors entered into operation. The current fleet of six aircraft has an operational availability of around 80%, with a mission completion rate above 99%.

Celebrating this milestone, 10.000 hours flown by the KC-390, represents the commitment and dedication of the Brazilian Air Force and Embraer. With its exceptional performance and proven versatility, the KC-390 has become the FAB’s main air mobility aircraft. We are proud to be part of this achievement and the global recognition that the vector has received. Congratulations to everyone involved in this successful journey”, says Air Lieutenant Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, Commander of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).

The C-390 Millenium is an excellent multi-mission military tactical transport aircraft, offering unparalleled mobility. The platform combines high productivity and operational flexibility with low operating costs, which is an unbeatable combination.

The C-390 can carry more payload (26 tons) compared to other military transport aircraft in its class, and flies faster (470 knots) and farther, being capable of performing a wide range of logistics, transport and launching cargo and troops, aeromedical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting and humanitarian missions, operating on temporary or unpaved runways.

The aerial refueling configuration, called KC-390, has already proven its capabilities in FAB operations, having refueled different models of fighters and also having received fuel from another KC-390, from pods installed under the wings.

The multimission platform has orders from Portugal and Hungary, both NATO member countries. Furthermore, the Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic have already announced their choice for the C-390.
